Fashion’s most anticipated event of the year, the Met Gala, will be held on Monday night in New York City. However, one A-list celebrity will be absent from the event.
Supermodel Naomi Campbell, aged 54, has been barred from attending the Met Gala due to her ongoing feud with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who is 75 years old.
According to reports, the British socialite and actress made a public outburst against Met Gala host Anna on stage during an industry event.
The feud between Naomi and Anna escalated last September at the New York Fashion Week ceremony for Harlem’s 17th Annual Fashion Row. Anna was scheduled to present Naomi with an award, but the two engaged in a heated argument.

Naomi, known for her fashion sense, arrived late, causing Anna and everyone else to wait. Anna humorously remarked to the audience, “I’m a punctual person, and I have the honor of presenting tonight to someone who is known for being late.”
Unbeknownst to Naomi, Anna had been subtly criticizing her lateness during the event.

Naomi finally arrived over an hour late, sporting a bandage on her knee. However, a visibly frustrated Anna had already left.
Harper’s Bazaar editor-in-chief Samira Nasr presented Naomi with the Fashion Icon Award. As Naomi accepted her award, she humorously remarked, “It wasn’t my choice to have the other lady (Anna), I’d much rather have this one.”
Her comment elicited a round of loud gasps from the audience.
Prior to their feud, Naomi had attended the Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art a total of 21 times.
Naomi, a renowned model, has decided to bid farewell to attending the prestigious MET gala. According to a source close to her, Naomi was unfortunately uninvited to this year’s event.
In a recent video, Naomi expressed her decision to end her association with the MET. She stated, “It’s my last. I can’t do it anymore. I’m too old, and the anxiety is overwhelming.”
Naomi’s decision comes as a surprise, considering her status as one of only six models to be officially declared supermodels by the fashion industry and the media.
