Sarah Michelle Geller (Buffy): Sarah married Freddie Prinze Jr. in 2002, they have two kids together. Since the show, she’s been in The Grudge, The Crazy Ones, The Ringer, Scooby Doo 2 and voiced Teela on Netflix’s Masters of the Universe: Revelation.
More recently, she appeared in the movie Do Revenge, was a costar on the Teen Wolf spinoff Wolf Pack and currently stars on Dexter: Original Sin. She’s reportedly finalizing a deal to reprise her Buffy role in a sequel series, which will revolve around a new, younger slayer.
Anthony Stewart Head (Rupert Giles): Since working on Buffy,” Anthony has appeared in Merlin, The Iron Lady, Little Britain, Warehouse 13, Dominion and, most recently, Ted Lasso. He reprised his Giles role in the Audible series Slayers: A Buffyverse Story.
Alyson Hannigan (Willow): Alyson had a nine-season run on How I Met Your Mother and has two kids with husband Alexis Denisof, who played Wesley. She also appeared in American Reunion and, more recently, Flora & Ulysses. She was also a panelist on MTV’s Adorableness and competed on Dancing with the Stars.
Nicholas Brendon (Xander Harris): Nicholas later appeared on Kitchen Confidential, Criminal Minds and Private Practice, but has made headlines for a string of arrests ranging from vandalism to domestic violence. He’s also had numerous stints in rehab.
Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia Chase): Charisma later starred on spin-off series Angel, but was written off the show following her real-life pregnancy. In 2021, she would speak out against Joss Whedon while supporting Justice League star Ray Fisher, claiming she too experienced Whedon’s toxic behavior on set.
She also starred in the Expendables movies, appeared on Veronica Mars and The Lying Game and hosted Surviving Evil.
She reprised her role as Cordelia in the Audible series Slayers: A Buffyverse Story.
David Boreanaz (Angel): After playing Angel on Buffy and his spin-off show, David starred as Seely Booth on Bones. He went on to headline SEAL Team. He has two children with wife Jamie and though he admitted in 2010 to cheating on her with Rachel Uchitel, the two are still together.
Emma Caulfield (Anya): Emma went on appear on Supergirl, Once Upon a Time, Fear the Walking Dead and Wanda Vision. In 2011 she was a victim of the same hacker who leaked nude photos of Vanessa Hudgens and Scarlett Johansson. She shares one child with husband Mark Leslie Ford. In 2022, she revealed she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2010. She reprised her role as Anya in the Audible series Slayers: A Buffyverse Story.
James Marsters (Spike): James went on to play Spike on Angel, before appearing on Smallville, Hawaii Five-O, Witches of East End and Runaways. He also does a ton of voice work. He married Patricia Rahman in 2011, but the two filed for divorce in 2021.
He’s also released music, both with Ghost of the Robot and solo.
He reprised his Spike role in the Audible series Slayers: A Buffyverse Story.
Juliet Landau (Drusilla): Juliet went on to do voice work in shows like Ben 10, and Justice League and recently appeared on the final season of Claws. She also released her own vampire documentary, A Place Among the Dead, and hosts a Buffy rewatch podcast, titled RE-VAMP. She reprised her Drusilla role in the Audible series Slayers: A Buffyverse Story.
Seth Green (Oz): Seth continues to voice Chris Griffin on Family Guy and various voices on Robot Chicken, which he co-created, directs, writes and produces. He’s done voice work for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, SuperMansion and Howard the Duck for Marvel. He’s also starred in movies like Rat Race, Austin Powers and The Italian Job and recently appeared on That ’90s Show.
He’s been married to Clare Grant since 2010.
Eliza Dushku (Faith): Eliza re-teamed with Joss Whedon for Dollhouse, before starring on Tru Calling, White Collar and Banshee. CBS made a $9.5 million settlement with her after she was allegedly fired after reporting star Michael Weatherly for inappropriate behavior on the set of Bull, which he denied. She moved back to Boston, went to college at Lesley University, married Peter Palandjian in 2018 and shares 2 kids with him. In 2024, she said she’s currently a certified therapist, with a focus on psychedelic therapy for trauma patients.
Alexis Denisof (Wesley Wyndam-Pryce): Alexis married co-star Alyson Hannigan in 2003, they have two daughters. He went on to star on Angel, Grimm, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Legacies and played an alien in both The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy.
Michelle Trachtenberg (Dawn Summers): Michelle later appeared on Gossip Girl and its more recent reboot, Weeds, Sleepy Hollow and the movies 17 Again and Black Christmas. In 2021, she claimed Joss Whedon was not allowed to be alone with her on set following an incident, claims he denied.
Amber Benson (Tara Maclay ): Amber has appeared in a number of popular TV shows since Buffy, including Grey’s Anatomy, Ringer and Private Practice. She’s also written a number of books, wrote for a Buffy and Tara comic and wrote, directed, and provided her voice to the Audible series Slayers: A Buffyverse Story. Benson also appeared in I Saw the TV Glow.
Clare Kramer (Glory): After playing Glory, Clare appeared on episodes of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Tru Calling with Eliza Dushku and House. She married Brian Keathley in 2005 and the two have four children.
Charlie Weber (Ben): After playing Glory’s other half, Weber appeared on Everwood, 90210 and Underemployed before making a big comeback as Frank on How to Get Away with Murder.
Tom Lenk (Andrew): Tom appeared on Broadway in Rock of Ages after originating the role of Franz in the Las Vegas and L.A. productions. He also appeared Cabin In the Woods, went viral with his Lenk Lewks series recreating celebrity red carpet looks and playing Tilda Swinton on stage in Tilda Swinton Answers An Ad On Craigslist. He most recently appeared in Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar and American Horror Stories.
Danny Strong (Jonathan): Strong won two Emmys for Game Change and Recount. He also wrote the final two Hunger Games movies, co-created Empire and is the creator of Dopesick. He’s been engaged to Caitlin Mehner since 2016. He reprised his Jonathan role in the Audible series Slayers: A Buffyverse Story.
Adam Busch (Warren): Adam has appeared on Colony, Grey’s Anatomy, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Men at Work, Altered Carbon and The Rookie. He dated Amber Benson following the show, despite his character killing her, and the two even co-directed a film together.
D.B. Woodside (Principal Wood): Woodside later starred on 24, Hellcats, Single Ladies, Emily Owens MD, Lucifer and Pearson, and appeared in films including That Awkward Moment and Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2. He shares a daughter with ex Golden Brooks.
Most recently, he appeared on 9-1-1: Lone Star and The Night Agent.
Mercedes McNab (Harmony): Mercedes went on to star in the horror flick Hatchet, posed for Playboy and appeared on shows like Supernatural, Reaper and Criminal Minds. She married Mark Henderson in 2012, appears to have retired from acting and has two children.
Marc Blucas (Riley Finn): Marc later appeared in the movies A View from the Top and, starred on the Necessary Roughness TV series and recently appeared a number of Hallmark movies. He shares two daughters with wife Ryan Haddon and is stepdad to her kids with Christian Slater. In 2024, his mother-in-law, model Dayle Haddon, died on their property from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning at the age of 76.
Julie Benz (Darla): After Buffy, Julie appeared on Angel, Training Day, Defiance and Hawaii Five-O. She also starred as Rita on Dexter and (Spoiler Alert) was memorably killed off in the Season 4 finale. She most recently appeared on Love, Victor and 9-1-1:
Lone Star. She was previously married to voice of the Cryptkeeper John Kassir and married Rich Orosco in 2012.
Bianca Lawson (Kendra): After Buffy, Kendra appeared on Dawson’s Creek and The Vampire Diaries, and, in her 30s, still played a high school student on Pretty Little Liars. She also appeared on Teen Wolf and starred on Queen Sugar. Fun fact:
She became Beyonce’s step-sister in 2015 when Tina Knowles married her father, Richard Lawson, though they have since divorced.
Robia La Morte (Jenny Calendar): After Buffy, the actress did bit parts on CSI and The Pretender, before appearing in the antiabortion film Unplanned in 2019. Now going under Robia Scott, she works as a life coach.
Nathan Fillion (Caleb): Nathan later starred on Firefly and its feature film, Serenity. He also headlined Castle, appeared on Desperate Housewives, stars on The Rookie, popped up in The Suicide Squad and does a lot of voice work as Green Lantern and for the Halo video games. He’ll also play Green Lantern Guy Gardner in James Gunn’s upcoming Superman film.
