Coldplay Kiss-Cam Scandal: Kristin Cabot Files for Divorce After Viral Concert Blunder

Kristin Cabot, the former HR chief whose kiss with her boss was caught on a Coldplay concert kiss-cam earlier this year, has officially filed for divorce from her husband, Andrew Cabot.

The 52-year-old ex-astronomer was spotted canoodling with then-boss Andy Byron in July, leading both to resign from their positions. Less than a month later, she filed divorce papers in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on August 13, according to court documents seen by the Daily Mail.

At the time of the scandal, Cabot was still married to Andrew Cabot, a sixth-generation heir to the Privateer Rum fortune. But insiders say their marriage was already strained before the public incident.

Andrew Cabot’s ex-wife, Julia, told the Daily Mail he seemed unfazed by the controversy. “Her life is nothing to do with me,” he reportedly said when the kiss-cam clip went viral. Julia added that money has always been his main priority: “He’s not husband material… but she doesn’t seem like wife material either.”

Julia, who was married to Andrew for four years, described him as arrogant, noting: “He’s a Boston Brahmin. Their code is: ‘This isn’t anything to do with me.’ His ego is too big to be affected by this. The only thing he’s bummed about is that he was embarrassed.”

The divorce marks Andrew Cabot’s third. A descendant of one of Boston’s oldest and wealthiest families, he currently runs the family company, Privateer Rum.

Kristin Cabot has not commented publicly since filing for divorce.
