Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is grieving the death of his mother, Jackie Bezos, who passed away at 78 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
According to the Daily Mail, Jackie died at her home in Miami, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and husband, Mike Bezos. Jeff shared the news in an emotional Instagram post, writing:
“I know she felt our love in those final moments. We were all so lucky to be in her life. I hold her safe in my heart forever.”
The Bezos Scholars Program, which Jackie helped champion, remembered her as a woman of grit, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family someone who found immense joy in watching it grow.
Jackie was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia in 2020, with Mike by her side throughout her illness.
