Wendy Williams appeared in court on Thursday before Judge Lisa Sokoloff, who had previously expressed her desire to relocate Wendy to a different facility.
According to sources reported by TMZ, the judge delivered a harsh verdict to Wendy, declaring her career over and suggesting that she has no chance of a comeback.
The judge allegedly went on a tirade against Wendy’s niece, Alex Finnie, accusing her of leaking information to the news media and threatening her with sanctions if she repeats the offense.
According to TMZ, the judge also went after Wendy’s family, calling them unfit.
Furthermore, Judge Sokoloff discussed Wendy’s career, declaring that it was over and that she would never have another one.
TMZ’s sources indicate that the judge’s comments deeply affected Wendy, and the reasons behind her statement remain unclear.
Wendy recently hired the renowned attorney Joe Tacopina to assist her in her guardianship battle. Tacopina has a history of representing high-profile clients, including former President Donald Trump, rappers A$AP Rocky and Meek Mill, in criminal cases.
It remains uncertain whether Tacopina was present in court with Wendy on Thursday.
Wendy, known for her medical problems and mental health struggles, experienced a significant deterioration in her condition after discovering her then-husband, Kevin Hunter, was having an affair with another woman.
In October 2017, her health took a turn for the worse when she fainted on the set of The Wendy Williams Show.
Over the decades, Williams battled alcohol and cocaine addiction. In March 2019, she openly admitted to living in a sober house for treatment of her alcohol addiction.
In January 2022, Wendy’s bank, Wells Fargo, froze her accounts due to unauthorized withdrawals made by a family member. Fearing for her financial well-being, the bank sought a judge’s order to appoint guardianship over her finances.
