Katy Perry Hints at Romance with Justin Trudeau During London Concert

Pop star Katy Perry appeared to confirm her relationship with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday night — and she did it with a wink to the crowd at London’s O2 Arena.

The 40-year-old singer, currently on her Lifetimes World Tour, teased fans mid-show, saying, “London, England, you’re like this on a Monday night after a whole day at work and a whole day at school? No wonder I fall for Englishmen all the time… but not anymore.”

The crowd erupted, clearly catching the reference days after Perry and Trudeau were photographed kissing aboard her yacht, Caravelle, off the coast of Santa Barbara. The images showed the two looking relaxed and affectionate, with Trudeau shirtless and his arm around Perry.

During the same concert, Perry received an impromptu marriage proposal from a fan. Laughing, she replied, “I wish you’d asked me 48 hours ago,” sending the audience into cheers.

Rumors of a relationship between the Firework singer and the 53-year-old politician first surfaced in July, when they were spotted dining together at an upscale Montreal restaurant. Sources told The Sun that the pair have been “quietly dating since the start of the summer.”

“They haven’t had much time together because of her tour,” one insider said, “but they’re constantly in touch — FaceTiming and messaging whenever they can.”

According to reports, Trudeau described by one friend as “a bit of a geek” is “in disbelief” that someone as famous as Perry is interested in him. Perry, meanwhile, is said to find it “refreshing” and “flattering” to date someone with such a serious public profile.

Trudeau, who finalized his divorce in 2023 and stepped down from office earlier this year, has kept a low profile since leaving politics.

Perry, who shares a five-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, with actor Orlando Bloom, confirmed her split from Bloom in June. The pair, engaged since 2019, announced in a joint statement that they had “shifted their relationship to focus on co-parenting.”
