Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour wrapped up with a bang in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 26 and the final show drew an A-list crowd.
The VIP section was packed with celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Kerry Washington, Khloé Kardashian, Kris Jenner, and Tyler Perry. But one notable name was missing: Meghan Markle.

Gayle King posted a selfie from the show on Instagram, captioned, “Grand opening, grand closing! Here in Las Vegas with the cowboy crew to see @beyonce close out her historic Cowboy Carter tour!!” The post sparked questions from fans, with one writing on X (formerly Twitter), “Oprah, Gayle, Kerry Washington, Kris Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, even Tyler Perry! But NO MEGHAN!! Oh oh, is there trouble in Montecito Paradise??”
Meghan and Prince Harry previously attended Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour stop in Los Angeles, so her absence from the final Cowboy Carter show raised eyebrows especially given her close ties to Oprah and Tyler Perry.
Some royal watchers believe Meghan’s absence might be linked to recent comments made by Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, on her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder. In a conversation about family relationships and support, Tina emphasized the importance of communication and being present for loved ones a sentiment that may have struck a nerve.
“I pick up the phone because I don’t want to miss time with my daughter,” Tina said, speaking about Beyoncé. The line stood out to royal correspondent Sarah Hewson, who noted, “That comment might sting for someone like Meghan, who’s estranged from her father and whose husband is no longer speaking to his father or brother.”
Sources claim Tina later attempted to call Meghan to clarify or apologize, but Meghan hasn’t taken her calls.
Whether this is the start of a deeper rift or just celebrity coincidence remains unclear but in Hollywood and royal circles alike, absences often speak louder than appearances.
