Trump Blasts Gayle King: “Your Career Is Over”

President Donald Trump has taken aim at CBS anchor Gayle King, claiming her career is finished and accusing her of lacking the courage to publicly support him.

“Gayle King’s career is over,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “She should have stayed with her belief in TRUMP. She never had the courage to do so. No talent, no ratings, no strength!!!”

The attack followed a New York Post article that questioned King’s future at CBS Mornings, citing poor ratings and calling the show “too woke.”
Trump’s criticism fits a broader pattern of taking shots at CBS figures. Earlier this year, he mocked comedian Stephen Colbert after his show was canceled, blaming it on “lack of talent” despite CBS citing production costs.

One CBS insider pointed to the suspicious timing of the FCC approving the Skydance–Paramount merger shortly after Colbert’s departure:

“The timing wasn’t lost on anyone.”
Trump has also called out other network personalities like Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel, suggesting they could be next in line for scrutiny.
For now, King remains on air at CBS. But with Trump’s public spotlight on her and CBS’s ratings under pressure, questions are swirling about how long that will last.
