Singer R. Kelly pushes for prison release as he claims he’s target of Aryan gang murder plot
R. Kelly’s legal team has filed an urgent motion requesting his immediate release from prison. The motion alleges credible threats to his life within the North Carolina prison where he is serving a 30-year sentence for sex crimes.
Court documents obtained by TMZ reveal disturbing allegations of a murder-for-hire plot involving prison officials and inmates. The target of this sinister scheme is the disgraced singer, R. Kelly. The motion includes a sworn statement from Mikeal Glenn Stine, a terminally ill inmate and leader of the Aryan Brotherhood gang. Stine claims that authorities offered him freedom in exchange for killing Kelly.
Stine alleges that prison officials promised him a transfer and the opportunity to escape after he carried out the hit. The plan involved a staged cover-up of the murder. According to the documents, Stine approached Kelly personally in March to warn him about the plot but ultimately turned against it and blew the whistle. Stine has expressed his willingness to take a polygraph test and testify.
Kelly’s lawyers express concern that, following Stine’s defection, another Aryan Brotherhood member has allegedly been ordered to kill both Kelly and Stine. They also mention that the prison reportedly houses several gang affiliates who are ready to act.
In a separate filing, Kelly has sought the review of his case by the U.S. Supreme Court. His legal team argues that home confinement would be a safer option for him, allowing him to continue pursuing his ongoing music projects. The genuine fear for his life inside prison is evident amidst these alarming developments.
